4 Steps to get a medical marijuana card in Oklahoma.

Obtaining a medical marijuana card in Oklahoma can be complicated and time consuming.  Luckily, there are businesses like us (BLOOM HC) working hard to expedite and streamline the process making it less burdensome for the patient.  Quicker access to medicine means faster relief.

Getting your medical marijuana recommendation is simple and legal

Oklahoma state law requires patients to obtain a license through the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA). Before obtaining a license, a patient must obtain a recommendation from a state of Oklahoma board certified doctor (MD or DO). We will explain each step of the process and help you maximize your cannabis evaluation and education through our evaluation process.

Step One: Schedule an appointment.  You can call (405) 310-8420 M-F during normal business hours to speak to a live person.  Or you can book directly at bloomdoctors.com/appointments and choose a time that is convenient for you.  Appointments are $150 or $75 for veterans. The OMMA fee of $104.30 ($22.50 is payable to the OMMA). Total out of pocket is $254.30. All applications are completed on site with the help of our staff.

Step Two: Register with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA.ok.gov).  The OMMA was established to oversee the medical marijuana program for the State of Oklahoma. It is responsible for licensing, regulating, and administering the program as authorized by state law. Operating under the Oklahoma State Department of Health, the primary goal is to ensure safe and responsible practices for the people of Oklahoma.

Step Three: Go to your appointment.  Be prepared to discuss your current medications with the doctor.  You do not need to bring your entire medical history but anything pertinent to your current medical conditions and diagnoses.  You will need a valid (current not expired) Oklahoma issued ID, government issued ID, or passport.

Step Four: Complete your application with the OMMA.  If your application was not completed when you received your recommendation, complete your application at OMMA.ok.gov.  It generally takes 14 business days to get notice you are approved and approximately 10 days for the card to be printed and received in the mail. 

Once you have received your card in the mail, you can proceed to your nearest dispensary and begin your healing journey.
